Today’s games are set to get underway! The parks are still a buzz with talk about that thrilling 9-6, 9 inning victory by Team Canada yesterday afternoon over Australia. Things seem to be heading towards a dream matchup in between Canada and United States in the A event semi final Friday at 8:30. Today’s action includes some very interesting match ups. The kick off game 11:30 at BVI features Australia and South Africa where the Aussies will be looking to put the bad memory of yesterday’s loss behind them against 1-2 South Africa. In the first evening game Canada takes on winless Indonesia. The team from Indonesia may just be happy to be here, as they just barely raised $81,000 US it took to get here before departure. They have not scored a run yet but have shown some spark defensively. The 8:30 game features Czech Republic and Venezuela who are in a 3 way tie for the critical second place in Pool B. The winner will take a huge step forward in at least securing a playoff spot.
