The Winter Games NZ kick off on Friday 21st Aug with the opening ceremony taking place in Queenstown. A two match trans-Tasman ice hockey series will ensure these games get off to a fast and furious start with our NZ Ice Blacks playing Team Australia Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August in Dunedin.

The last time these two teams faced each other here in NZ they played in front of a packed to capacity crowd in Auckland.

The Ice Blacks have named an impressive squad with experienced veteran players and some rookies.

So don't miss the action, if you are in the region see it live, if not you can catch all the action on Sky Sport

Both games will be televised with Saturday’s game screening on Sunday 23rd at 12midday and the Sunday game live from 5pm – both on Sky Sport 2 (channel 32).
