WALSALL Football Club have today completed the signing of Peter Till on a one-year deal following a successful pre-season trial. The 23 year-old midfielder came through the ranks at Birmingham City, during which time he served Scunthorpe United, Boston and Leyton Orient on loan in a bid to gain first-team experience. He joined Grimsby Town, initially on loan, in November 2006 and after some impressive displays he was snapped up on a permanent basis. A right-sided midfielder, who can also play in a number of other positions, he became a regular for The Mariners, chalking up a total of 87 appearances before spending the second half of last season on loan at Chesterfield. "He's an attacking wide-man with pace who is not afraid to take people on," said manager, Chris Hutchings. "It's a great opportunity for him to come here and progress; he's a local lad and we are delighted to have him on board. "He has done well over the past few weeks with us and hopefully that will continue. He is certainly a player who has the potential to excite people and I look forward to working with him."
