Northern Knights all-rounder Kane Williamson was the clear winner of the 2009/10 Mitre 10 MVP for the One-Day Competition in just his third season playing on the domestic scene.

He was awarded the top prize, after he bagged five wickets and struck a half century to lead the Knights to victory over the Auckland Aces in the One-Day final at Colin Maiden Park.

Williamson topped the table with 201.95 points, almost twice as many as his nearest rival, Wizards batsman Michael Papps.

The nineteen year old raising star hit 621 runs in 11 matches with an average of 77.62. He stuck two centuries, with a top score of 108 not out. His spin bowling yielded 13 wickets, with an economy rate of 4.83. His best bowling figures were 5-51
